It uses optical sensing technology and converts angular motion into square-wave output signals. This rotary encoder is suitable for detecting angle, speed, length, and acceleration. It features an NPN open-collector output type and a 2-phase output circuit. For correct use, all data lines should be connected to VCC through a resistor, with 1 kΩ to 100 kΩ suitable.
