0.91 OLED Display Board is a 0.91 inches with a resolution of the 128x32 pixel, mono-color (White) passive matrix micro OLED display, which is controlled by SSD1306 display driver chip. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) is a flat light emitting technology, which is developed by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. By applying electricity, a bright light starts emitting. Because of not requiring a backlight and their structure nature, OLED displays are thinner, clearer, brighter, higher contrast, wider viewing angles, and more efficient than other LCDs and displays. This display series utilizes a COG structure, which is ultra-thin and no need any backlight elimination. So it is a lightweight and low power consumption LCD. Their response time is faster than other LCDs. Their future technology wants to make them more transparent, flexible, foldable and even rollable and stretchable.
This LCD is supplied with a digital voltage, 3V up to 5V DC, and interfaces with external Arduino boards through the I2C interface. Also, OLED displays have the best image quality ever, which the bright and crisp dots can easily be seen and any tiny fonts truly readable, thus this tiny display can be used in wearable devices, mp3 players, portable devices, personal care appliances, voice recorder pens, smart health devices, etc.
