It is suitable for use with microcontroller boards such as Arduino Uno, Arduino Due, Arduino Pro Mini, and Arduino Nano. The module transmits 40 kHz sound waves and calculates distance from the return time. It is designed for outdoor environments and applications that require a water-resistant ranging sensor.
