Description
PIR sensors are used to detect motion from about 6 metres away. You can commonly see them in motion sensor lights in driveways, hallways, backyards etc. This version of the PIR sensor has a smaller detection head but it works just the same, if not better than, standard PIR sensors. Instead of having to figure out which pin connects to what, the unique PH2.0 connector cable greatly simplifies the wiring process. After powering on, wait 1-2 seconds for the sensor to warm up. If anything moves within its range after that period, the signal pin will read HIGH (3V) for about 3 seconds and the on-board indicator LED will light up. Otherwise it will read LOW and the light will remain off.
