The 8002A is a Class-AB audio power amplifier IC available in an SOP-8 package. It is capable of delivering 2 watts of continuous average power to a 4Ω Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) with less than 10% Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise (THD+N) from a 5V DC power supply. Additionally, it can provide 1.5 watts to an 8Ω load with less than 1% distortion. The 8002A is designed to provide high-quality output power with a minimal number of external components and does not require output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors. These features make it ideal for use in low-power portable systems.
