Description
The TTP229 is a touchpad detector IC which offers 8 touch key. The touching detection IC is designed for replacing the traditional direct button key with a diverse pad size. Capacitive touch allows electronics to sense when your finger is within a few millimeters of a surface to simulate a button œpress just like how the push button works. Capacitive sensing may be used in any place where low to no force human touch sensing is desirable.
The TTP229 Touch IC is a capacitive sensing design specifically for touchpad controls.
The device built-in regulator for the touch sensor. Stable sensing method can cover diverse conditions. Human interface control panel links through a non-conductive dielectric material. The main application is focused on replacing the mechanical switch or button. This Module can replace conventional 4x4 keypad with a touch-based keypad. The module has two working modes.
An 8 key mode that provides an independent 8 channel output or a 16 key mode that can be used with the I2C interface of the module, thereby saving even more pins and connections on the application Arduino or Microcontroller board.
It also features 16 sensitive touchpads that make an ideal replacement for the old fashioned keypads.
