Interfacing MQ-2 Smoke Gas Sensor with Arduino
MQ-2 Smoke LPG Butane Gas Sensor Module is a smoke detector board, which is based on MQ-2 sensor. This sensor is a highly sensitive sensor that can detect a small leaking of LPG gas, butane gas, propane gas, methane gas, smoke and so on. Thus, this sensor can widely be used in home and city building automation. This board has TTL running output capability. Also, it can run analog circuits, because its output signal directly depends on the gas concentration. This sensor has a fast responding with acceptable reliability and stability. For easier installation, 4 screw holes are provided on the PCB.
Features of MQ-2 Smoke Gas LPG Butane Methane Sensor Module:
- TTL output valid signal is low level. (When the output is low, the signal light is on, it can be directly connected to the MCU or relay module.)
- Good sensitivity to liquefied gas, natural gas, city gas, and smoke.
- Input voltage: DC5V
- Power consumption current : 150mA
- DO output: TTL digital quantity 0 and 1 (0.1 and 5V)
- AO output: 0.1-0.3V (relatively non-polluting), the highest concentration voltage is about 4V
- Pre-heating time: 20 seconds
- Dimensions: 32 (L) x 20 (W) x 22 (H)
