This module has 3 main components on its board. The first component is the sensor, which is responsible for measuring the ambient temperature and send an analog signal to the second component, the amplifier. The signal is amplified in this section and sent to the analog output pin of the module.
The third component is a comparator that turns on the digital output pin and LED if the signal is greater than a certain value.
You can control the threshold temperature by adjusting the multi-turn potentiometer.
Note: This module has an NTC thermistor whose resistance decreases with increasing temperature. Therefore, the output analog signal has an inverse ratio with the ambient temperature. This means that as the ambient temperature increases, the output analog voltage decreases.
Features of KY-028 Digital Temperature Sensor Module:
- Temperature measurement range: -55°C / +125°C
- Temperature detection range: 20 to 80 degrees Celsius.
- The NTC sensor can be replaced with a waterproof one in order to measure the temperature of liquids
- Has analog and digital output
Usage Notes For KY-028 Digital Temperature Sensor Module:
How to use:
The thermal resistance of the module is very sensitive to the ambient temperature. By adjusting the potentiometer, you can change the temperature detection threshold (for example, the control temperature),
The DO output can be directly connected to the microcontroller to detect its logic level and perform an operation based on it.
LED1: Indicates that the sensor is receiving power.
LED2: Indicates that the measurement value is higher than threshold.
