The Power Dash Motor offers high torque, ranking second among all Tamiya motors and first among race-legal ones. Its rev performance falls between the Hyper-Dash 3 Motor and the Sprint Dash Motor. It is power-demanding, requiring high-capacity batteries for optimal performance.
The initial version (15317-350), released in 2002, achieves over 30,000rpm with a green endbell cap, silver metal housing, and bronze brushes. Subsequent versions (15317-400 and 15317-460) replaced 'R/C Mini 4WD' with 'Specially Tuned' on the sticker. The 15317-400 retains the bright green endbell cap, slightly lagging in performance compared to the 15317-460 with a deeper green endbell cap. Both versions utilize carbon brushes for extended lifespan and improved performance, achieving 23,600rpm without load for the 15317-460, uniquely labeled "For Advanced Users".
For optimal performance, pair the motor with large-diameter wheels and a 3.7:1 gear set to achieve balanced performance in your Mini 4WD car.
