With this converter, for example, you can launch a WiFly shield such as WiFly RN-131G, which is controlled by UART, using the SPI pins of the microcontroller. By using the SPI interface, the data exchange speed increases and the UART pins on the Arduino board or other microcontrollers are freed for other applications.
The supply voltage connected to the VIN base in this board is regulated through a 3.3 V regulator with a low drop and reaches the IC. The SC16IS750 input pins can handle input voltages up to 5.5V. Therefore, this board works with microcontrollers and 5V and 3.3V systems. The 14.7456 MHz crystal oscillator embedded on the board provides the necessary clock to start the chip.
In this board, all SC16IS750 IC bases will be available to the user. The distance between the legs is considered to be suitable for installation on the Bread Board.
